Judith was born in 1932 to Elisabeth and Rudolph Gersch. She lived in Deda, Romania with her parents, sister, and brother, before they were deported to the Reghin ghetto in Poland in 1942. Judith was killed in Auschwitz in June 1944 at the age of twelve.
